Jen Humphrey - Owner
THE RIGHT PAW arrived in central Massachusetts around 1992-1993. It was owned and operated by Darlynn Tracey-Oberg for 28 years. In 2020, Darlynn retried and sold The Right Paw to Jen Humphrey (Banks).
Jen entered the profession of dog training back in 2009 as an Assistance Dog Trainer. (Dogs to assist humans with their daily tasks) Her goal is to help you learn how to live with your dog. Whether you want a well-mannered house pet who doesn't bark out the window and jump on guests or an off leash hiking partner that listens when you call them. Jen has an extensive work history and makes a point to continue in her education. Her career started at NEADS as a Kennel Volunteer from 2004-2009. Then she moved up to a 2 year Assistance Dog Apprentice Program from 2009- 2011. She continued to work for NEADS until 2017.

In 2014, while still working at NEADS, Jen started a private dog training business, Banks K9 Solutions. Banks K9 Solutions was a private, in your home based training business. She ran the business successfully until she bought The Right Paw in 2020.
Jen also achieved her BA Degree of Psychology at UMASS Lowell Class of 2017.
Jen takes her continued education seriously, her extensive list of participation is as follows; She attended Assistance Dogs International Conference in 2014. Added another Apprentice program to her resume with Alpha Dog K9 Training from 2014-2018. Participated in a 20 hour Shadow Program in 2016 with The Loyal Hound, another week long shadow program with Dream Come True K9 in 2017, Dream Come True K9 Seminar 2017, Quiet Dog Daycare Seminar in 2018, K9 Connection Shadow Program with Tyler Muto in 2018, Understanding K9 Behavior seminar with Blake & Tyler in 2018, IACP Conference in 2018, Shade Whitesel seminar in 2018, NePoPo® seminar with Pat Suart in 2019, Prime Canine Shaping Seminar with Jas Whiting in 2019, Canine Paradigm Seminar in 2019 and attended the IACP Conference in September 2019. She is currently enrolled in the Training Without Conflict July 2021 course with Ivan Balabanov.

When Jen is not educating clients or continuing in her education she can be found at dog shows showing her Staffordshire Bull Terrier "Moonpie" in Rally or Obedience. Moonpie has acquired her Rally Novice and her Companion Dog Titles so far. Jen also has an accomplish Shiba Inu named Bomba! Bomba has earned all his Rally Titles from the novice level to excellent level, CGC title, Novice Standard and Jumpers agility titles, Social Responsibility Title through GRC Dogsports and has more done some training in NOSEWORK! Rhu is her newest dog, another Staffordshire Bull Terrier. She is training compete in GRC Dogsports.

Jen also runs the Baystate GRC Club.
Jen is happily married to her very supportive husband Andy.
